Frances + Greg | Snowy NYC Engagement Session in Grand Central Station and Bryant Park | Art Deco Engagement Photography

France and Greg were so much fun to spend a snowy day with in NYC! They both had the biggest smiles as they were walking up the steps to the NY Public Library, despite the below freezing temperatures. They are planning a gorgeous wedding at the Thayer Hotel this September, and wanted their engagement session to reflect the art deco inspired vision that Frances has for their day. We started at the library, where the snow made everything so romantic! I try to keep engagement sessions as natural as possible, as I know it can feel a little awkward to be in front of the camera (I have been there myself, so I understand!) but these two were instantly at home. They are so comfortable with each other and they just naturally have so much fun together, that they were laughing and snuggling on their own – no ridiculous commentary from me needed! 🙂 To continue the art deco theme, we visited the Bryant Park Hotel lobby, where some of my favorite pictures from the day were taken right inside. Not only did it give poor Frances a change for her feet to thaw (the girl has style – heels were still a must for her in the crazy weather. Love it!), but the small entryway was so cozy that it allowed for some really intimate pictures. We stopped by the Chrysler Building to take in those gorgeous art deco doors, and then had a great time ending the session in Grand Central Station – one of the most beautiful places in all of Manhattan! This is also where the funniest thing ever happened! Frances is so gorgeous that she got hit on…in the middle of her engagement session! I have to say this is a first (and a testament to how gorgeous she is), and it kept the three of us laughing!

Frances and Greg, I had the best time with you both this past weekend! Thanks for making my photography dreams come true by agreeing that the snow would make the pictures so beautiful, and for keeping me laughing the whole day! I can’t wait for your wedding in September!
