Katie and Steve are such a sweet couple, and I loved spending a warm fall day with them at Willowwood Arboretum. Willowwood is a really beautiful place, and we found ourselves just walking around, chatting as I snapped portraits of them while we explored the stunning grounds. Katie is one of those people who never stops smiling. She exudes kindness and is a true joy to be around. It’s so easy to see why Steve would want to spend the rest of his life with this kind, gorgeous, thoughtful lady. I really enjoyed learning more about their relationship during our time together. They are each from the northeast but they are University of South Carolina alums, which makes this southern gal’s heart extra happy. I loved hearing about Steve’s proposal story! He took Katie to Savannah, where he staged a perfect proposal at Chippewa Square. Using the same bench where Forest Gump was filmed and (what else) a huge box of chocolates, he surprised Katie with a STUNNING ring and a heartfelt proposal! Chocolate? Savannah? What’s not to love! These two are so great – just genuine, down to earth, good people – and I can’t wait to be a part of their wedding day next June!
