Kristin and Peter’s Hotel Monaco DC wedding was the perfect mix of black tie elegance with laid back coolness. These two super accomplished, busy professionals wanted a day that celebrated their love, but that also allowed them to really celebrate with their family and friends, which is exactly what they got! I loved Kristin’s sequin sheath dress paired with a birdcage veil. It was the perfect sophisticated look for her, and her white fur shawl helped them brave the Lincoln Memorial for classic DC wedding portraits! And both the beautiful natural light-filled suite and the dramatic staircase at the Hotel Monaco were the perfect places for gorgeous portraits of Kristin. Later that evening when it came time to party at the reception, they had so many different groups of friends from medical school, grad school, etc that came together to celebrate with them that the party definitely kicked up a notch! Watching their friends bust a move on the dance floor had me and my team laughing all night, and Gavin Holland‘s set list ensured the party kept going well into the night. From a sweet first dance as husband and wife, to beautiful toasts by both of their siblings, to touching parent dances with her father and his mother, it was just a classically elegant DC wedding full of love and a laid back, super fun couple! The perfect wedding if you ask me!
