  • Hi there and welcome!

I am a photographer based in Northern VA, specializing in Interiors, Brands, and capturing the love of a family on medium format film. Having earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University and being a photographer for 8 years, I’ve been able to blend my love for capturing a feeling through an image with my love for spaces, people, and stories. Whether it’s the feeling of being inside a beautifully designed place, the feeling of a brand’s story and how it draws people in, or the feeling of a 3 year old’s tiny arms wrapped around their mother and the impossible joy felt at hearing their sweet giggle, my heart connects with each one of these and translates it into imagery that has soul and evokes emotion. I believe in telling a story, beautiful light, gratitude, and always seeing the beauty in life and in others.

These two were married this past June and before I can share their amazing Salamander Resort wedding in Middleburg, VA, I have to share the beautiful summer day we spent walking around Hoboken, NJ and capturing moments in their neighborhood! I love engagement session for many reasons, but one of the biggest is that it allows me to get to know each couple. I believe in storytelling in my approach to wedding photography. No ‘one size fits all’ approach here. I truly believe each day is different, each couple is different, and capturing them authentically is what inspires me. Getting to know a couple, hearing the stories of their love, their relationship…this all helps me artistically interpret their wedding day even that much more genuinely. By knowing that Megan and Terry pushed the coffee table aside in their apartment one night, turned on Pandora, and danced to what seemed like a million songs to find ‘the one’ for their first dance on their wedding day, this added a whole extra layer of story and emotion to capturing their first dance on their wedding day. And what I feel in my heart – the couple’s love, joy, happiness – always comes out in my images. The more I know about how THEY love each other, the more I can capture these subtleties on their wedding day, the more I can connect with them and their story, an the more I can pour that love for them back into the images I capture. Can’t wait to share these two, whom I adore, on their June wedding day, and for now, enjoy their sweet moments from their Hoboken session!
