I don’t know about you, but I am not ready to let go of summer! We had a baby in June, (our first!) and so this summer felt like it flew by especially fast. While pumpkins and changing leaves and a crisp chill in the air are nice, this warm-weather girl is wishing for just a few more hot summer nights. We visited the Sanderling Resort in Duck, NC and the beaches of Corolla, NC to see the wild horses over the July 4th holiday. It was such a nice getaway, especially being able to go 4 weeks post baby and to take him on his first beach trip! I loved staying at this resort and highly recommend it for a little getaway, or for (even better) a wedding! We just so happened to be there the weekend hurricane Arthur hit the Outer Banks (fun, fun!) and they definitely went above and beyond to care for all of their guests. If they can provide top-notch service during a hurricane, just think of how smoothly and seamlessly they handle wedding days. 🙂
I am excited to finally share these film images from our trip, and to hang on to these last fleeting moments of warm weather. I am definitely looking forward to my fall wedding season kicking into gear this weekend, where I will be traveling for 7 weddings in 8 weeks (yowza!)!! But for today, while my neighbors hang their Halloween decorations and prepare for fall (yes, we really do have little ghosts made of white sheets hanging from a tree in our neighborhood already), I am going to look at these pictures and soak up every last drop of summer!
Thank you Richard Photo Lab for the scans!
