  • Hi there and welcome!

I am a photographer based in Northern VA, specializing in Interiors, Brands, and capturing the love of a family on medium format film. Having earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University and being a photographer for 8 years, I’ve been able to blend my love for capturing a feeling through an image with my love for spaces, people, and stories. Whether it’s the feeling of being inside a beautifully designed place, the feeling of a brand’s story and how it draws people in, or the feeling of a 3 year old’s tiny arms wrapped around their mother and the impossible joy felt at hearing their sweet giggle, my heart connects with each one of these and translates it into imagery that has soul and evokes emotion. I believe in telling a story, beautiful light, gratitude, and always seeing the beauty in life and in others.

This past November, I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Bali to photograph the wedding of Deanna and Edmond. If you know me, you know I LOVE destination weddings. I had one myself – 20 people, on a beach in St. John. It was perfection. Destination weddings hold a really special place in my heart and I hope to be able to photograph more of them in the coming years! When Deanna and I started talking about her wedding in Bali, and how it would just be the two of them at the gorgeous Ayana Resort and Spa, I could barely contain myself.  I knew it would be so momentous and beautiful, and I was so honored to be a part of their day and capture these incredibly special moments for them. And wow, did it exceeded every expectation I had. There is something super romantic about witnessing an elopement. Just the two of them, coming together, embarking on this new life with only each other by their sides. It’s so “you’re all I need”. And that is exactly how this day felt. It had this intimate feel to it. This sanctity. From the sweet tears that Deanna had rolling down her face as they prepared to open the doors to the chapel where Edmond was waiting, to the handwritten vows they read to each other. I could tell it didn’t matter if it was Bali or their backyard, nothing mattered more to them than the fact that they were becoming husband and wife. Even walking the grounds with them afterwards to take portraits felt different. It was relaxed. There was this feeling of contentment and happiness. It was such a beautiful thing to witness between these two. After saying their vows (and having the fortunate opportunity to have two “you may now kiss your bride” moments in their ceremony 🙂 ) and taking a stroll on the beach, they enjoyed a quiet candlelit dinner overlooking the Indian ocean. It was the perfect ending to a really incredible day. And the best part is, they got to wake up in paradise the next morning and enjoy several more days in heaven! (Another reason destination weddings are awesome!!).

Deanna and Edmond, thank you for taking me on this incredible journey with you. For allowing me to tell your story and capture the heartfelt beauty and emotion between you two on that day. It was truly and honor and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness ahead!!
