  • Hi there and welcome!

I am a photographer based in Northern VA, specializing in Interiors, Brands, and capturing the love of a family on medium format film. Having earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University and being a photographer for 8 years, I’ve been able to blend my love for capturing a feeling through an image with my love for spaces, people, and stories. Whether it’s the feeling of being inside a beautifully designed place, the feeling of a brand’s story and how it draws people in, or the feeling of a 3 year old’s tiny arms wrapped around their mother and the impossible joy felt at hearing their sweet giggle, my heart connects with each one of these and translates it into imagery that has soul and evokes emotion. I believe in telling a story, beautiful light, gratitude, and always seeing the beauty in life and in others.

If this fall wedding isn’t a perfect mix of southern charm, sophistication, and a relaxed “come have a great time, y’all” vibe, then I don’t know what is! Kathleen is one of the kindest brides you will ever meet. She is the epitome of sweet and southern – gracious, extremely hospitable, and she gives the best hugs with the warmest smile! She is one of those people that you meet and instantly feel so welcomed by. To see her marry her high school sweetheart (they have been dating since middle school!) was such a treat, especially since I knew them both from grade school days. Kathleen infused so many special details into their day to ensure it was truly reflective of their journey as a couple, and that guests had an incredible time. Upon arriving at the ceremony at Boonsboro Country Club, guests were greeted by an adorable cocktail stand and invited to Lynchburg Lemonades and Richmond Rum and Cokes – a nod to where they are from and where they will be building their new life together. After the guests took their seats under a beautiful old oak tree dripping in chandeliers, Kathleen’s mom escorted her stunning daughter down the aisle to Eric. As a way to honor her father, Kathleen put one of his guitar picks under the lace of her bouquet, and during the ceremony a soloist sang one of her dads favorite hymns. This was easily one of the most moving moments of the day. The look of peace, grace, and love that was on the faces of Kathleen, her sister, and her mom were so touching. For their vows, Eric’s father led them in a beautiful ring exchange that was sealed with a kiss.

As the party got underway, guests were greeted at their STUNNING tables by a sapling to plant as a thank you for joining in their day. Kathleen and Eric treated their guests to a delicious seated dinner that included (what else) shrimp and grits and filet mignon. Then, in a room adorned with tall pillar candles, silver and gold accents, and overflowing arrangements of white roses, hydrangea and greenery, Kathleen and Eric took their first dance as husband and wife under twinkling lights. I am so honored I was there to witness it! You could tell you were watching a very special moment between two people who were so connected, and who love each other so much. Guests danced the night away, in between cocktails on the terrace and having fun in the photo booth – (how cute is their burlap board for guests to leave the couple photo booth pics and a note?!). At the end of the night guests sent the happy couple off with a fantastic sparkler exit. It really was a perfect day from start to finish, and I could not think of a couple more deserving and worthy of it.

Kathleen and Eric, you two are such special souls. You care about those you love in a way that is so inspiring and you have the biggest hearts. I know your life together will just be a beautiful extension of the journey you started together so long ago, and that your days will be filled with love, understanding, support, and commitment to one another. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and I thank you for giving me the honor of telling your wedding day love story!

When I first met Brendan and Marisa on a cold night last winter, I knew that their day was something I had to be a part of. They are fun, and kind, and unique, and just really cool people. They brought their Brooklyn sensibilities and these same characteristics to every part of their wedding weekend at Trails End Camp. Her same infectious smile that stayed with me from our first meeting was there throughout their entire wedding weekend. First of all, a wedding at a summer camp!? How much fun is that! Marisa and Brendan wanted to host their nearest and dearest for a fun-filled weekend full of camp fires, canoeing, and tons of other lake activities. They kicked off the weekend with a talent show rehearsal dinner. Brendan attended the Juilliard School and so the talent level amongst many of his friends was strong! Their wedding day itself was so unique and beautiful! Every little moment seemed to be very authentic to Brendan and Marisa. From her choice to let bridesmaids pick their own dresses in a shade of purple, to the wildflowers by Fox HIll Farm, to the couple’s ukulele duet at the reception, and the gray suit with black lapels that Brendan wore. And their faces as tattoo’s for guests to wear. How fun is that? I loved the moment before the ceremony when Marisa opened a special wedding day present from Catbird in Brooklyn. Brendan gifted her a gorgeous diamond ring and her reaction was priceless. Their day had a certain ease and contentment about it. They both seemed so grounded in their happiness to be marrying each other, and to be celebrating with their friends and family. Their ceremony on the beach by the lake was full of that gorgeous smile from Marisa that I came to love so much. It never left her face the entire day. At their reception, the couple gave a special ukulele performance for their guests. Brendan made a music box for Marisa when he proposed, to include punching out the notes so that it would play a specific song. They dueted this song for their guests and it was such a special moment. From start to finish, their day was so unique and perfect, and I am so honored to have been a part of it. I love when couples truly make the day their own and are full of so much happiness, laughter and love!
