  • Hi there and welcome!

    I am a photographer based in Northern VA, specializing in Interiors, Brands, and capturing the love of a family on medium format film. Having earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University and being a photographer for 8 years, I’ve been able to blend my love for capturing a feeling through an image with my love for spaces, people, and stories. Whether it’s the feeling of being inside a beautifully designed place, the feeling of a brand’s story and how it draws people in, or the feeling of a 3 year old’s tiny arms wrapped around their mother and the impossible joy felt at hearing their sweet giggle, my heart connects with each one of these and translates it into imagery that has soul and evokes emotion. I believe in telling a story, beautiful light, gratitude, and always seeing the beauty in life and in others.

My husband Rob and I spent the day with Sheila and her husband Luke this past February. Sheila is a photographer in Australia, and they were visiting the states to celebrate their many years of marriage and life together. As it just so happens, Rob and I are approaching our 5 year wedding anniversary this summer and I thought what a perfect time for a few pictures around the city! Sheila and Luke were too cute not to take pictures of as well. Many, many anniversaries and two gorgeous children later, they are as in love as they ever were, and it’s so precious to see!

Before spending the day with Kaylan and Matt exploring Brooklyn Heights, I knew they were high school sweethearts. I knew they lived in Brooklyn and loved their neighborhood, and that they are planning what will be an incredible wedding celebration this coming June (which I am so honored to be a part of!!). Having spent time with them before, I knew they were fun and both had a great sense of humor. But what I loved the most about our time together was seeing how they are the best of friends. They are so kind to one another. They are considerate of each other. They laugh together and just ‘get’ each other with this really beautiful ease. Being high school sweethearts – from Fulton, NY no less, hence the Fulton Subway stop 🙂 – was the expected. But their sweet, easy, and oh-so-cozy love was the really beautiful part that made spending the day with them SO much fun!

Kaylan and Matt, I can’t wait for your wedding this June! It’s sure to be a day full of love, laughter, lots of fun, and I can only imagine a few great stories from the past! 😉
