  • Hi there and welcome!

I am a photographer based in Northern VA, specializing in Interiors, Brands, and capturing the love of a family on medium format film. Having earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University and being a photographer for 8 years, I’ve been able to blend my love for capturing a feeling through an image with my love for spaces, people, and stories. Whether it’s the feeling of being inside a beautifully designed place, the feeling of a brand’s story and how it draws people in, or the feeling of a 3 year old’s tiny arms wrapped around their mother and the impossible joy felt at hearing their sweet giggle, my heart connects with each one of these and translates it into imagery that has soul and evokes emotion. I believe in telling a story, beautiful light, gratitude, and always seeing the beauty in life and in others.

The holidays are so much fun! Family, friends, gifting, receiving…and ENGAGEMENTS! It’s such a great time for couples to get engaged and start planning a life together! I was lucky enough to witness one myself at Rockefeller Center on Christmas Eve!! HOW ROMANTIC!!

Congrats to all of the newly (and soon to be) engaged couples!! ‘Tis the season to celebrate, and this makes it even that much more special!

(I took these through the window at the restaurant Sea Grill, so my apologies on the glare and the quality, but the emotion and excitement isn’t lost! Yay!)

From the moment I learned I would be photographing Suzanne and Brendan’s wedding day, I knew something about it felt meant to be.  I love love, and I love people. Salt of the earth, ginormous-hearted people. For this wedding the stars aligned and I got all of that and more. Two people, who are the most ‘meant-to-be’. A bride and groom, who is one of the nicest, caring, most warm-hearted couples I’ve ever met. A love story for the books – their paths crossing fortuitously through life, him admiring her for years, her thinking he was taken when he invited her on their first ‘date’, their fate being sealed at a Yankee’s game.

Their wedding day at FEAST at Round Hill was filled with so much thoughtfulness and is a testament to the wonderful people they are. Suzanne’s sisters serenaded the bride and groom during the ceremony to “Make You Feel My Love” by Bob Dylan. Their officiant, Rev. Lisa Bansavage, read letters they previously wrote each other detailing the things they loved most about one another – making us all laugh…and cry. A family member sang an Irish Blessing as an homage to Brendan’s Irish heritage and a hand fastening ritual was performed. Music is really important to Brendan and played a big part in their lives as they fell in love. Brendan carefully selected all of the music for the day, from the ceremony music, to the cocktail hour and reception playlists. Suzanne walked down the aisle to “Love and Some Versus” by Iron + Wine and they took their first steps together as husband and wife to David Gray’s “You’re the World to Me”. Their place cards doubled as incredibly personalized favors – a CD of some of the most important songs to them that serve as a real-life soundtrack to their love story. To start the party, the band Cousins Moran performed several Irish songs. From their first dance, to the beautiful speeches given by their family, to the irish dancing, it was a night of incredible love and fun. And of course, it wouldn’t have been complete without closing it out with a last dance to “Thunder Road” by Bruce Springsteen, a tradition Brendan started at his friends weddings, and definitely a highlight of the night for me. It was a perfect day, and it could not have been bestowed upon a more deserving couple. Suzanne and Brendan are loved – really loved – by their family and friends, and I am so lucky to now call them friends. You two are amazing. Witnessing your love on your wedding day, and beyond, is incredibly inspiring and heart-warming. I know you have a lifetime of love and happiness ahead, because a love like yours is truly a once in a lifetime thing.
