  • Hi there and welcome!

I am a photographer based in Northern VA, specializing in Interiors, Brands, and capturing the love of a family on medium format film. Having earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University and being a photographer for 8 years, I’ve been able to blend my love for capturing a feeling through an image with my love for spaces, people, and stories. Whether it’s the feeling of being inside a beautifully designed place, the feeling of a brand’s story and how it draws people in, or the feeling of a 3 year old’s tiny arms wrapped around their mother and the impossible joy felt at hearing their sweet giggle, my heart connects with each one of these and translates it into imagery that has soul and evokes emotion. I believe in telling a story, beautiful light, gratitude, and always seeing the beauty in life and in others.

Jessica + Ed were surrounded by so many family and friends, who love them dearly, as they became husband and wife. They both left me speechless at many points throughout their wedding day. Jessica decided to forgo a ‘first look’ with Ed, and instead had a first look with her father – such a sweet idea! To see the look of pride on her dad’s face was incredibly touching. And forgoing pre-ceremony time with Ed paid off in seeing Ed’s look as his stunning bride walked down the aisle towards him.

After spending the day with them back in May, I knew they were immensely in love and over-the-moon excited to become husband and wife. During their reception at the ACCA Temple, I so enjoyed learning from their friends and family just how wonderful of a friend/sister/brother/daughter/son they are during the touching speeches. This was just the icing on the cake for me, as were their cute details and personalized touches – homemade jam by her sister for guest favors, wooden boxes to hold the gorgeous flowers for her centerpieces, and cookies and homemade desserts from family recipes for guests to enjoy…AHHH-MAZING!) And spending time with them on the grounds of Union Presbyterian Seminary lead to some seriously stunning bride and groom portraits of them – their first images as husband and wife!

I wish you two a lifetime of happiness and know that you will have it, after witnessing the beauty and love that remained the center of your wedding day! A huge thank you to the lovely Liz Reese of Liz Reese Photography  second shooting with me!  You were SO wonderful to work with – you have such a positive attitude, are very talented, and are just an all around great person!  I can’t wait to do it again soon!

This family is the epitome of sweet! Erin and Mike are such patient and loving parents, and Reese is a bundle of determination, happiness, and pure joy. She has this giggle/squeal combo she does when she gets excited, and you can’t help but be happy yourself when you hear it. These three really put life into perspective and remind you what matters the most – family and love.

Mike and Erin have a wonderful charity, Lovern and Friends, which is dedicated to helping cancer patients and their families. You can learn more about the organization, and this beautiful and courageous family here!

**A big shout out to ‘Aunt Amanda Cunningham Jones’. Little Reese loooooves her Aunt Amanda, that is for sure!  Your ‘chicken’ move should be patented. That is ‘get a kid to smile’ gold!! You were such a huge help to us and I am so glad you were there!
