  • Hi there and welcome!

I am a photographer based in Northern VA, specializing in Interiors, Brands, and capturing the love of a family on medium format film. Having earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University and being a photographer for 8 years, I’ve been able to blend my love for capturing a feeling through an image with my love for spaces, people, and stories. Whether it’s the feeling of being inside a beautifully designed place, the feeling of a brand’s story and how it draws people in, or the feeling of a 3 year old’s tiny arms wrapped around their mother and the impossible joy felt at hearing their sweet giggle, my heart connects with each one of these and translates it into imagery that has soul and evokes emotion. I believe in telling a story, beautiful light, gratitude, and always seeing the beauty in life and in others.

Kristin and Chuck have such a sweet love. These are two people who really respect each other, put each other first, and love each other like crazy. Talking to Kristin the week leading up to the wedding, I had never heard such a sense of peace and calm, and it came from a place of pure happiness. In her words, she was just so excited to marry Chuck.

With the beauty of  White Meadow Lake Country Club as the backdrop, they officially joined their lives and brought together two families who clearly love each other. These two have huge hearts and love big, and I couldn’t have been any more honored to have been a part of their day. A big thank you to the wonderful Mekina Saylor for photographing the day with me. You are an incredible photographer, wedding planner (you really do it all!), and friend, and you literally made my day by spending it with me!

The look on her best friend’s face says it all…the emotion of this day was beautiful!

Kristin hand-picked these flowers on the morning of her wedding day, from the bush her best friend/matron of honor planted in memory of her own mother, who adored Kristin.

Chuck was so excited while he waited for Kristin to come meet him at the gazebo where they would be married.

Sheer happiness on Chucks face. Nothing could be better…

…Except for maybe this look on Kristin’s face.

Kristin, you are stunning! Such a gorgeous bride!

When Chuck danced with his mom to “A Song for Mama” by Boyz II Men, the tears were a flowin’ from behind my lens. It was incredibly sweet.

These cupcakes by Jarets Stuffed Cupcakes were AH-MAZING! Kristin searched and searched for the BEST cupcake, and I can tell ya’, she found them!

We all need to sneak a little icing sometimes.

Congrats you two!! I hope you had a fabulous first honeymoon and I can’t wait to hear about your second one next year in Italy! If you need a photographer to capture your love, Italiano-style, consider my suitcase packed! 😉

  • Mekina - Angela, you sure do have a gift! You captured this day beautifully and I feel absolutely honored to have been apart of it with you! Congrats Kristin and Chuck!ReplyCancel

When the lovely and talented Caroline Frost of Frost Photography asked me to photograph a wedding with her on the grounds of Calhoun College at Yale University, I was thrilled! I knew the setting would be gorgeous and the architecture rich, but I had no idea just how loving and unique the couple would be. Jane and Nate truly personalized their day. From singing a Beatles song during the ceremony, to dinosaur socks for the groomsmen as a nod to how they met on the school bus years ago, to a piñata – this wedding was every bit as charming as Jane and Nate are themselves.

Thank you so much for having me along with you, Caroline! I had a great time spending the day with you and really enjoyed this beautiful wedding at Yale University. You are a doll, and both your talent and friendship are much appreciated!
