When I met Jody and Benji at a coffee shop earlier this year, the connection was instant. We sat chatting about so many similarities – Benji and I used to work for sister companies in the recruiting field, and Jody, as I have mentioned before, is seriously my style twin. They had such an easy, welcoming demeanor about them, and I know that given more time and another bottle of wine, we could have stayed there for hours. So it was only to be expected that their engagement session would be an extension of this awesome time together. We wandered around Meridian Hill Park in Washington, DC, not far from where they live, just chatting and catching up on life and their wedding plans. Those are my favorite types of sessions. Where it’s relaxed, the conversation is easy, and we can just get to know one another. After an outfit change into her beautiful Anthropologie dress, we walked closer to 14th street. We only ended the evening because we ran out of light, otherwise I am convinced we could have shot for another hour. Their love is so easy to be around and they make my job extra fun! I can’t wait for their wedding with Sweetface Events at Woodlawn Estate on the Eastern Shore of MD this fall! It’s going to be the best day!
